Monhegan Island

Last weekend, Steve and I decided to celebrate our 1-Year Anniversary with a trip to Monhegan Island. Monhegan is an island 10 miles off the coast of Maine and is very beautiful and rugged. There are no cars or paved roads on the island and lots of artists inhabit the place in the summer and have studios there. We spent the day hiking the trails and exploring - then took the ferry back to Boothbay Harbor for a delicious seafood dinner.

Monhegan Island is one of my favorite places to go in Maine. No matter what the weather, it is nice.
